Erika Williams

Youth Instructor

Erika Williams is an Art Therapy master’s candidate at Wayne State University. She received her BFA in Crafts with an Art Therapy concentration from the College for Creative Studies in 2019. She is a former early childhood educator, where she promoted creativity in the curriculum. More recently, she has worked with the dementia population, developing enriching programming that encompassed expressive practices and holistic wellness.

Erika currently holds internships with Willows Edge Counseling and Healing Arts Center, as well as Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Flint, practicing in-person and virtual art therapy with children, adults, and groups. Erika’s personal artwork is inspired by playfulness, emphasizing the innate experimental quality of the creative process.
